January is a time for setting intentions for the year ahead. Some people set resolutions and famously abandon them by mid-February. What do you want to commit to this year? How do you not only accomplish those goals, but make them a part of your daily routine? When it comes to reducing waste it’s best to start small. It’s OK to not be perfect all the time. Do the best you can as often as possible. Small actions add up to a big impact!
One way to have a significant impact is to practice conscious consumption. Keep the following refrain in mind as you make decisions about what you consume, whether it be a small item or a larger purchase.
• Buy less
• Buy used
• Repair instead of replacing
